We’ve found a new place for coffee – Febo. It has a great vibe which we enjoy. Outdoor seating which we also like. Coffee isn’t as good as Scarponnis though.
Has WiFi which Scarponnis didn’t. We tried the other cafe where the market is this morning. Nice people but the coffee doesn’t cut it. So the sitting and watching the market activity is a thing of the past, at least for now. Below the view from the remaining marketplace cafe.
We heard different reports on what’s going in to Scarponnis, one of which is a cafe. We shall see.
Last year at this time our favorite pizza place closed. We’ve been hunting a replacement ever since. This looked promising.
Alas, it was salty. The hunt continues. But we can always count on “the boys” for a great light meal.
Caprese, bruschetta bianca, and radicchio topped with cheese and bread then broiled. Mama mia!
The light yesterday made the mosaic on the duomo look more three dimensional than ever.

Make Haste Slowly 
Bill… as you know, after our time in Orvieto with you last fall our family joined us for another week. The Febo family took our little family of three home school girls in their first night there. They fed them their first pasta upstairs.. our 9 year old fell asleep with her head on the table. Their families were having dinner in the same room. They provided a spot for homeschool time on the internet when it was not working at our apartment – as did the Blue Bar. You of course make us homesick for Orvieto in the fall. BTW.. it is fall, what on earth is the wisteria doing blooming???

oh, yes, scout out all the best places before we get there :-) And, really? A place in Italy that doesn’t have good coffee? I’m shocked! :-)

Must have miss something in the past about Scarponnis. Why did they close, when…..????? This is really sad to hear. DD
They were tired. Closed a few months ago. So sad.
